Europe Travel
Living in Germany allowed me to travel throughout Europe—learning the ins and outs and discovering the gems. Europe is simply enchanting and filled with iconic sites and old-world charm. Whether you prefer sailing or cruising to ports of call, river cruising, escorted tours or exploring on your own, here are just some of the amazing things Europe has to offer...
Villages: Picturesque villages abound with their quaint storefronts and cobblestoned pedestrian streets—Meersburg on Lake Konstanz, Mittenwald in the Bavarian Alps, Rovinj in Croatia and Colmar in the Alsace region of France are some of my favorites. I am completely enamored by medieval, walled cities like Rothenburg ob der Tauber in Germany, Mdina in Malta, Toledo in Spain and San Gimignano in Italy. Waking up in a grand castle, country home or winery villa in France, German or Italy is a treat to the senses. Perhaps nothing is more magical than cruising on the Rhine past hillsides spotted with robust vineyards, colorful villages and impressive castles…unless it is cruising along the Danube to visit Europe's fabulous Christmas markets.
Cities: For those desiring big city adventure—Paris, Rome, London and Barcelona offer night life, shopping and entertainment, as well as, the quintessential sidewalk café’s, culture, art, architecture and history. They are each truly amazing and can be a trip in themselves. The smaller cities of Salzburg, Edinburgh, Florence, Prague, Budapest, Tallinn and Krakow capture the old-world vibe…they also captured my heart.
Food & Culture: Imagine enjoying bubbly in Champagne, escargot in France, fondue in Switzerland, or olives in Kalamata. One of my many I-must-be-dreaming moments was sitting in a medieval fort in Tuscany tasting local wines, meats and cheeses. Eat in the restaurant in Prague’s bell tower or enjoy a bier at one of Germany’s many beer gardens. Tour the pilsner brewery in Pilsen; food tours are a unique way to explore different cities. In Europe, there is always a celebration to join that will delight your senses—from annual wine, strawberry, and chocolate festivals to Oktoberfest and delightful Christmas markets. A symphony in Vienna, visiting Mozart’s home or a Sound of Music tour in Salzburg would be a delight for any music lover. Theater lovers may see a show in London’s West End or Shakespeare’s birthplace Stratford-Upon-Avon or visit Juliet’s balcony in Verona. The changing of the guard in London, Monaco or Copenhagen is timeless pleasure for all.
Art & Architecture: Europe is filled with unparalleled beauty. There is stunning architecture like the Charles Bridge in Prague, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the iconic Neuschwanstein Castle, the Palace of Versailles, Siena’s Duomo, the canals of Venice, the hillside villages of Cinque Terre and the Amalfi Coast, and the blue domed buildings in Santorini, Greece. There are masterpieces like the statue of David in Florence, the Sistine Chapel in Vatican City, the Eiffel Tower and the crown jewels in the Tower of London.
Activities: The Alps is synonymous with paradise for both hiking and winter sports. The race enthusiast could watch the Tour de France in France or the Formula One Grand Prix in Monaco. Touring the Mercedes, Lamborghini or Volvo factory or take a loop on the London Eye sipping champagne. Horseback riding in Kilarney and taking selfies with the Highland cows in Scotland was thrilling. I loved welcoming “the cows come home” in the Alps and waiting while the shepherd guided his herd down the road in Greece. Europe’s many thermal spas are perfectly soothing for all; you could even go for a dip in the famous Blue Lagoon (the spa is a must!) or visit a lesser-known beer spa for a soak in a beer bath.
History: There is no end to fascinating sites for the history buff. Enjoy military history? Visit battle sites and museums in Normandy, Arnhem, Bastogne, Verdun, Belleau Wood, or Waterloo. Visit Napoleon’ tomb or tour the Maginot Line, Hitler’s Eagle’s Nest, the Auschwitz’s sobering alleys or the Anne Frank house in Amsterdam. Enjoy medieval history? The countryside is filled with castles and hilltop towns that tell their own story. Enjoy ancient history? Walking among the streets of Pompeii, around the Roman Colosseum, the Acropolis and ancient Olympia in Greece is beyond incredible. I have always been fond of self-drives for the freedom to explore independently; however, in recent years, I've discovered escorted tours to be enriching for a deeper dive into the events and culture.
Nature: The most impressive views are often found in nature—ride a gondola high into Switzerland’s Alps, overlook Ireland’s Cliff’s of Moher, hike the Scottish Highlands, explore the vineyards of a working Tuscan winery, look across Netherlands's tulip fields in full bloom or witness the Northern Lights while cruising through the majestic Norwegian Fjords. The ultimate view of the Mediterranean’s gorgeous coastline is from the deck of a Star Clippers' tall sailing ship.

All I can say is that everything was great and a huge THANK YOU to Danika! She was so patient, I had never planned a vacation to Europe before and she was amazing! She helped me plan a great itinerary and helped me keep it realistic, as in the time we had and all the places we could visit :) We ended up visiting Frankfurt ~ Nuremberg and Stuttgart ~ Germany. Without her this would have been a horrible vacation. With her handling all the details it was an amazing and I cannot wait to work with her again on the next trip!!

Danika was an exceptionally attentive, thorough, and knowledgable travel agent. A few friends and I were planning a trip through Japan and the Philippines, and when I reached out to Danika, she immediately began putting her invaluable knowledge and experience to work. She truly impressed us with her initial outline of our trip.
During the trip, everything was absolutely seamless and comfortable - thanks to Danika. We ended up spending 10 days traveling through Japan (a few days each in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka, and 1 day visiting Mt. Fuji). Danika set up tours, airport transfers, flights, and everything in between, making the trip effortless on our end. We wanted to end the trip at a beach, and Danika recommended a resort in El Nido, PH. This part of the trip, much like the first, was meticulously planned and exceptionally enjoyable and relaxing for us.
I plan on using Danika in the future for any trips abroad - I could not have done this trip without her help. Thank you, Danika!

Magical European Christmas Holiday!
Danika was recommended to us by a family member and we are so glad we opted to work with her for our Vienna and London holiday trip. We threw out that we wanted a trip over Christmas and she listened to what we were looking for and how we like to travel and came back with great options. She helped us plan, answered our novice questions, was so quick to respond (does she sleep?!?), kept us informed and handled airline changes expertly - all while dealing with their office fire. The app she provided was great to use across multiple family members to stay well informed before and throughout the trip. We loved that she had personal experience to share learnings with us so our trip was exactly what we had hoped for. Thank you and we look forward to working with her again!
